" Don't go."

Toothless whimpered sadly, wrapping his arms tightly around his boyfriend's neck.

" Babe...i have to go. You know i have to."

" Don't leave me all by myself....i've never had to be by myself. Not for years."

" Well you have to tonight." Bunny said gruffly, his face snuggling against Toothless' shoulder.

" Noooo! Bunny, please! I'm sick and i'm scared and it's dark-"

" Hush. I have to go. It's Easter."

" I hate Easter!" Toothless exclaimed, pushing Bunny away and curling up in a ball on the bed.


All last week he'd been pestering the Guardian for attention, only to be ignored, and a few times locked in the living quarters of the Warren so he'd get out of the way. A whole week without Bunny or affection of any kind.


Bunny huffed, " Toothless..."

" HATE IT!" The draganoid shouted, pulling the blanket over his head.

" Do you need more cough medicine?"

" Just go." Toothless whimpered. He held the pillow tightly.

" I'll leave the cough drops on the table."

" Hmmpf."

" And Hiccup's number is on the fridge."

" Awesome. Great. Lovely."

" So you can call him if you need someone."

" Go."

" I love you."

"...I love you too." Toothless looked back briefly at Bunny, silently hoping the Guardian would just forget about the holiday and come snuggle him.


He didn't.


When Toothless was sure his boyfriend was gone, he cried a little, laying with the pillow clutched to him.


It took him a couple hours into Easter just to fall asleep.

Bunny sighed, dropping down into the Warren. The morning light was just entering the holes of the tunnels.

He found Toothless exactly where he'd left him.

Sighing, he leaned over and kissed the draganoid's cheek.


He gently pressed a grey, plush rabbit into his boyfriend's arms.
