Blackness.
Thick, oily tendrils- reaching up from a hole in the safe haven of the sky. They poisoned the beautiful, blue color, rising like smoke to envelop the falling figure.
Hiccup tumbled from Jack's grasp.
The brunette didn't scream, didn't speak, looking almost unnaturally calm. He gazed up at Jack with wide, green eyes. The cold air slammed against his back, knocking the wind from his lungs.
Jack choked on emotion and fear, the wind whipping tears from his eyes. He couldn't move or speak, could hardly breathe.
Find me.
Blue eyes blinked as the sweet voice filled his head.
" Where are you going? I'll come with you!" He cried out.
The shadows under them roared menacingly, revealing teeth and a wide mouth. Hiccup's eyes closed at the sound. A monster.
It is the prophecy.
Jack reached as far as he could, but he felt he was deep underwater, unable to move more than a few inches at a time. Hiccup's hand was always just out of reach.
" Don't leave me!"
Wake up, Jack.
The creature raised up on its hind legs, closing around Hiccup's small body.
Wake up.

Jack jumped, clutching at his heart.
Sweat was pouring down his back- his shirt was soaked. A nightmare.
Just a nightmare.
Jack rubbed his hands over his face, sighing loudly through his nose. He pushed the white hair back from his forehead.
With a huff, Jack thudded down against his pillow, groaning and covering his face with his arms. He really needed curtains for these window. Why did the sunlight have to be so bright?
A squawk.
Jack jumped, gasping, a letter landing in his lap.
Stormfly. She was Hiccup's Loftwing- the brunette must have sent her. Jack stood up, holding the letter, giving her nose a grateful pat. He carefully tore open the seal, taking in Hiccup's loopy, left-handed writing.
' Morning, Jack!
I know you have a habit of sleeping in, so I thought I should wake you up today! Nervous for the ceremony? You're gonna win, right? <3
I was wondering if you'd like to come see me? I'd love your opinion, I made it myself.
- Hiccup'
Jack smiled, nodding to himself before setting the letter on his nightstand. He pulled his shirt over his head, standing briefly with the sunlight hitting his pale skin.
The thought of hearing Hiccup's voice chased away the horrible nightmare.

The story will be based off my experiences in the game ( Which I have not yet finished, so the story would still be fresh in my mind. Don't spoil it for me!! ) but will cut out small things that don't matter much. As fun as the side quests are, we don't really need them. Maybe some oneshots of Hijack doing them together, but that's about it.
So you can all join in on things that were hard for me, or things I thought were fun. Hiccup will have telepathy communication with Jack despite not having it in the actual game. And yes, Hiccup's Loftwing is not Toothless. Sorry!~
