Once Upon a Unicorn's Forest ( The SN Project )

Snow White Hiccup ran through the dark forest.


His heart pounded in his ears, the Huntsmen's words engraving into his brain.



" She wants you dead."



He kept one hand protectively over his heart, using the other to push away the branches that grabbed him. His breathing was heavy, his mind numb. His chest and throat burned from exertion.


Stumbling for a moment, the teen vomited in a bush.


" Real classy for a princess." He muttered, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.



A rustle in the bushes.



Snow's head shot up, and he looked around with wide eyes.



" She wanted me to bring her your heart."


The teen backed up, looking around wildly.



He cried out.



Snow tumbled backwards down the small hill, thudding right into a pool of murky water.


He opened his mouth to say something sarcastic, but the water soaked into his dress, making him cold and wet.



He cried.



Snow wallowed in his own self pity, sniffling and wiping his nose and face on his sleeve. He was sinking into the watery mud, shivering and dirty.


The Fairest of Them All was very, very sorry for himself.



" Are you a hunter?"


The timid voice startled the sobbing teen.


He raised his head, before sniffling again and rubbing his nose.


" No, i'm the hunted."


" Do you have any traps?"


" No. You can come out. I'm harmless."


" Do you believe?"


Snow raised an eyebrow, looking towards the trees as a strange sight stepped out of them.



It was a unicorn.



He looked almost exactly like the princess, except for being all white; with a tail and a horn and hooves for feet.



Unicorn Hiccup's ears flitted back as he took in the teen's appearance.


" You're wet."


" I fell." Snow said as Uni wrapped his arms around the teen, pulling him out of the water.


" You're crying." Uni said sadly, bumping his nose against Snow's cheek.


" I've had a bad day." Snow whispered, shaking.


" Do you see me? Do you know what i am?"


" You're a unicorn. And I probably bumped my head on the way down that hill." Snow said sleepily, nuzzling against Uni's fur.



Uni giggled a little, blushing slightly as the teen snuggled him.



The unicorn's happiness made magic, drying Snow's clothes- and his tears.



" You never told me your name." Uni said gently, interrupting Snow's descent into sleep.


" Mm...It's Hiccup..."



The unicorn's words were the last things the brunette heard before he drifted off.



" Well, Hiccup, you can sleep soundly, because only good things happen in a unicorn's forest."

" If you count eating a poisoned apple and dying as good things." Snow White Hiccup teased, sitting in present-day Charming's Castle with his old friend.


" Mostly good things!" Unicorn Hiccup corrected himself, rubbing the back of his neck.



Snow put his hands on his pregnant stomach, " I'm just glad I'm here. For this."


" He's very special. I can feel it."


" It's a girl." Snow said softly, looking over at the unicorn.



Uni gave an awkward smile, before tapping his forehead, near the horn.



" Unicorn intuition."


Snow smiled, " 'Follow the horn, it's never wrong.'"



Uni giggled, leaning his head on his friend's shoulder.



" Never been wrong yet."
