Five Minutes Alone ( Elsacup )

Hiccup chased Elsa down the hallway.



The newly crowned queen heard the rustling of the brunette's ballgown, his shoes tapping on the floor as he ran for her.


" Elsa! Please!"


The queen paused at her bedroom door, letting him catch up.


" Please, Hiccup. I wish to go to my room. I will return later."


" Take me with you."


Hiccup was ashamed as soon as the words came out of his mouth, dipping his head and clasping his hands together.



Elsa had been courting Hiccup for some months now, preferring to show her affections to the prince of Berk through love letters and poems sent to the tiny dragon island. Elsa had never once laid her hands on the brunette. Hiccup had no idea what her embrace felt like, and ached to know. The queen had a way with words but Hiccup couldn't just fall in love with words.



He needed an act of true love.



He reached for his suitor's hand, whimpering when she pulled away.



" No, Hiccup. Go back to the party."


" Don't you love me?"


Elsa huffed, brushing a strand of white hair out of her face.


" Five minutes. And then you have to leave."



Hiccup smiled, sitting down on Elsa's bed.


He smoothed his skirt, straightening out his gloves. Elsa stared out the window. She was pretending the brunette wasn't there.



Till a bare hand attempted to hold her gloved one.



Elsa panicked, ripping her hand away and stumbling back against the windowsill. Hiccup stayed still, hand still slightly outstretched.



Taking a deep breath, the brunette closed his eyes.


He turned his head away, slowly reaching his hand out to Elsa.



The Snow Queen watched. Her fingers itched to pull off her gloves. She wanted to know what it felt like to hold those soft hands...


Snowflakes fell lightly to the floor.


Hiccup felt the light chill but didn't falter.


Elsa looked down at her hands, then back at Hiccup's outstretched palm. Gently, finger by finger, she pulled off the heavy glove, dropping it to the floor.



Her bare hand gently pressed to Hiccup's.
